"O that we who declare against all wars...may look upon our treasures, the furniture of our houses...and try whether the seeds of war have nourishment in our possessions. John Woolman"
As Quakers, we believe that how we live our lives is critically important. We use the Testimonies as models of behavior. The five generally agreed upon Testimonies are Simplicity, Truth, Community, Equality and Peace. The testimonies are universal and are applicable to each of us.
Humans have affected the environment. Our water is polluted. Our air is polluted. Our land is polluted. The oceans are polluted. Our food supply is unsafe. Our stewardship of the earth has failed. What are we going to do? We can accept responsibility for our actions and we can change.
We must change our individual and corporate behavior if we are to save our environment. Byron is available to take this Quaker enriched presentation to Quaker Meetings and schools as well as to other venues.
"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again." William Penn
